The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has called for a gathering of top-ranking police officials, including Deputy Inspectors General of Police, Assistant Inspectors General of Police, Commissioners of Police, and other key commanders, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Monday. The meeting is deemed crucial to enhance national security during the upcoming yuletide season.
As announced by the Force spokesman, Ademuyiwa Adejobi, the meeting aims to address various security concerns and assess the police force’s anti-crime strategies for improved efficiency and effectiveness in maintaining peace and order across the country. The IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, is expected to present the police force’s accomplishments over the past 10 weeks during the session.
“The meeting involves Commissioners of Police and above and other tactical commanders. All hands must be on deck to provide adequate security for all and sundry in Nigeria,” the statement emphasized.
