UN seeks to recognize the offices of the IPOB worldwide as missions for Biafran families to apply for a refugee should they need it.

The National coordinators of IPOB have been mandated by Nnamdi Kanu, the Director of the Radio Biafra/ IPOB’s movement towards Biafra restoration to participate in activities that will lead to converting all the offices of the IPOB around the world to missions. This will translate to the ability of IPOB wherever they are to seek for asylum as Biafrans where they reside without fear of rejection and deportation.

This announcement came following  United Nations’ request that admin of Indigenous People of Biafra to register with them all the worldwide country coordinator’s details so that their offices are recognized by the UN for Biafran families and to allow refugee status in all these countries worldwide. “I will be contacting every coordinator for his officer’s details tomorrow if you do not hear from me feel free to contact me. All contacts inc. Names, Village, and a contact number for calls from UN. Note I only have seven days to compile all the data as we are time-lined” he said.

Many Biafrans resident abroad without papers have in the past face the difficulties of using names of other wars torn and unstable  African countries to seek asylum given that the zoo called Nigeria is not recognised as a country whose residents  qualify for an asylum without success. According to this development, this will be a thing of the past. IPOB will use the opportunity created by this development to come out amass to attend the IPOB meetings towards Biafra restoration on or before December 2015.
