The ongoing slaughter of Christians in Nigeria is by design as was articulated in the Abuja declaration of 1989 when the Organization of Islamic Countries concluded that
“Africa should fairly represent Islam in government and civic life.” BOKO HARAM is just a tool to realize the OIC stated goal while ISIS or ISIL, backed by such countries as Britain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and others that also back them in Syria attempt to achieve the same goal in the Middle East. Since their stated goal is
“To promote the unity and solidarity of the Muslim Ummah throughout Africa and the rest of the world and to support, encourage, and enhance Islamic propagation and resurgence generally.” And given their indiscriminate killings in Enugu, their largest Islamic learning center in Afikpo, their bombings in Lagos, their attempt to bomb the churches in Owerri, their killings in Igweocha (Port Harcourt), and various parts of our land; would it not make sense that we start now to prepare so that our hands are not tied to our backs as it were from 1967 to 1970?
Must YOU remain indifferent to the suffering of our people just because it has not hit your family?
Are we that wicked, that selfish and uncaring and yet Christians? Would it not make sense that we prepare ourselves for the worst while we pray that it never comes, than to find ourselves unprepared when the worst is thrust on us? What answer do we have for our men in Enugu state who can no longer safely farm their land without the risk of being shot by BOKO HARAM?
Who protects our women that face the threat of rape in their farms? If your group is for the interest of YOUR PEOPLE, what have you done to mitigate their slaughter? Save them from slavery?
What have you done to defend them? And if the answer is ‘NOTHING.’ Are you still relevant, then?
What is your excuse? In the absence of a realistic & productive strategy, is it not sensible to join our
