The tweet read, “The Niger Delta stakeholders meeting is an insult to the people of the Niger Delta. What we need is a sovereign state, not pipeline contracts. “To the International Oil Companies, IOCs and the Nigeria military, watch out, something big is about to happen and it would shock the whole world,” it added.
As at the time of this report, attempts to speak with the NNPC spokesperson, Garuba Mohammad was fruitless while security sources in the area were yet to make confirmation on the alleged attack.
Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, said it blew up another NNPC crude oil and gas trunk lines, near Warri, Delta State, at 11.45 pm on Thursday. The militant group claimed that the facility was closely guarded by soldiers when its strike team struck.
