Release Our People Now, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Tells Governor Okowa

The spate of attack targeted against law abiding family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Delta State has assumed a disturbing dimension. And according to the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, during his live radio Biafra broadcast on Sunday 22nd March 2020, this act of terror orchestrated against law abiding IPOB members in Delta State can no longer be tolerated.

 

He laid the blame at the doorstep of the State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and the Police Commissioner, Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa. Mazi Nmamdi Kanu pointedly stated: “For those in detention in Delta State, I am holding Ifeanyi Okowa and Fulani terrorists in the Nigerian government responsible” – Nnamdi Kanu.

 

Detained are:

1) John Chukwuma (IPOB Delta State Coordinator)
2) Sunday Ashaka (Public Relations Officer)
3) Collins Nwuba Chukwudi
4) Ikechukwu Nwaodo
5) Ogodo Monday

 

These Biafrans were all arrested last Monday on 16th March 2020. Others include:

1) Nwamiri Chidi
2) Enyi Friday
3) Nwaodo Ikechukwu
4) John Ojike Maduabuchi
5) EKene Otakpo
6) Nwamana Chidi (with bullet wound)
7) John Ibe (already killed)
8) Enyi Friday and Ojo Ejike were shot and taken away with their motorcycles.

 

Those in custody for three (3) months now are:

1) Nwanze Uchenna
2) Oko Agbor
3) Chukwudi Obiada Michael
4) Aliegbu Obinna

 

The Delta State Police Command has no other choice than to immediately release these innocent IPOB family members who has committed no crime known to law, from detention. He concluded.
