Vice-President, Namadi Sambo has declared that those clamouring for Nigeria’s break-up would be put to shame.

Namadi made this known on Saturday in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, during the traditional wedding of the President’s foster daughter, Faith Sakwe.

Sambo, who chaired the occasion, said he and Jonathan were committed to the unity of Nigeria.

The VP said he was greatly honoured to be part of the ceremony, asserting that the event was divinely ordained by God.

The Vice-President stated thus, “Our partnership in transparent and focused government has been our strength. President Jonathan and l are committed to the unity, indivisibility and total transformation of the socio-economic status of Nigeria and Nigerians.

“We have been encouraged by the support and cooperation of our people who have been patient with us in nation-building.”

He enjoined the new couple to embrace the secret of a successful marriage which he identified as faithfulness, tolerance and honesty.

He lauded Jonathan and his wife, Dame Patience, for Faith’s upbringing.

He added, “The secret behind a successful marriage is for both the bride and the groom to be faithful to each other, to be tolerant and honest. When you do this, God will manifest in your life and good luck will be your portion.”
