Arewa Youths Back Down On Igbo Quit Notice: The Highest Act Of Cowardice

It is in the public domain that the Arewa youths had an emergency meeting with Northern Governors Forum chairman, Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State, on Sunday 30th July 2017 at Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria.

The meeting had in attendance the Coalition of Arewa Youths and according to reports, it lasted for hours.

After the meeting, Governor Shettima was quoted as saying that “They have agreed to revisit their decision and we will follow it up to its logical conclusion and I believe that in the next couple of days, we are going to get the good news from them”.

Also, Arewa Youths Coalition said it would withdraw the quit order it gave to Ndigbo to vacate all northern states before October 1st. The northern group’s spokesperson, Abdulaziz Suleiman, said they would withdraw the statement this week.

Shettima went further to advise South Eastern governors to caution Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB.

He said: “I wish to call on the leadership of our brethren in the South Eastern part of the country to equally pick the gauntlet, because it takes two to tango, to take the gauntlet and rein in the excesses of Nnamdi Kanu and his group”.

This news did not come as a surprise. Remember that IPOB writers published an article titled ‘Igbo Quit Notice: Arewa Youths’ Frustrated As Unstoppable IPOB Torments Nigeria’ on Sunday, July 30th, 2017 and on Biafra Today news platform.

In that article, Arewa youths were exposed to the world in an explicit format. We should also remember that we made it clear that the main purpose of the quit notice was to tame IPOB but the reverse is now the case.

Arewa youths are the biggest cowards of the 21st century. They shot themselves in the leg and are scampering for safe-landing and their governors are ready to do the haggard job for the terrorist youths.

Arewa youths should learn from IPOB. Indigenous people of Biafra are consistent and formidable in their dealings. Its leadership is on top of the game.

Kanu issued a sit-at-home order on 30th May 2017 and he didn’t back down. In short, it was a hugely successful exercise and he (Nnamdi Kanu) has also issued a ‘No Date For Biafra Referendum, No Election’  in Anambra Nov 18th gubernatorial election. Arewa youths should watch how successful it will be.

These youths shouldn’t swallow back their vomit, it is an act of cowardice. It depicts a high level of illiteracy, backwardness, psychological trauma and economic stress.

Arewa youth’s illiterate governor, Kashim Shettima is a disgrace. His sympathy for terrorism has ravaged Borno state with Bokoharam atrocities which include hunger, kidnapping and steady suicide bombing. This same governor created Bokoharam and has started nurturing another set of terrorist groups in the cover of Northern youths coalition.

Now that their plans have failed woefully, what is the next plan? Soft-landing to avoid shame!

We encourage these youths to maintain their stanc., Oct 1st is around the corner and they should do their worst.

The current Igbo youths are fearless and are ready to take the bulls by the horns. IPOB is soaring like an eagle, therefore, cannot stoop so low to engage in tantrums with unguided illiterate youths from Northern Nigeria.

Finally, shame to Ohaneze, Southern governors, self-acclaimed leaders, political jobbers and selfish traditional rulers. Their silence is also an act of cowardice. Arewa youths threatened their blood money and they almost urinated in their pants.

I would also give kudos to the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for ignoring Arewa terrorist youths. His strategy has set the arrogant youths to a state of confusion. He (Kanu) has thrown them off balance.

The Zoo and her keepers which include Arewa youths are in trouble, may their confusion bring an end to the unproductive Nigerian state and from its ashes the birth a new nation (Biafra) that will be productive and competitive in the mainstream of world development.
