Since the announcement of Sit-At-Home event by the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to mark this year’s Biafra Heroes Remembrance Day on May 30th, 2017, the Nigerian forces have been holding several meetings and strategizing on how to intimidate Biafrans into disobeying the order.
It is unfortunate that Nigerian security forces which includes Army, police, Navy, SARS and the rest of them despite obvious signs and actions cannot discern that Biafras have already exit Nigeria in their heart but await the physical exodus. The Enugu SARS in a bid to instill fear arrested my fellow comrade and Biafra Writer, Chukwemeka Chimerue and others for creating awareness of the Heroes Day Sit-At-Home event; but would this stop us from sitting at home on that day? the answer is a resounding NO!
In the past, IPOB came out to protest on the street and they were brutalized and killed, they came out for rally and were massacred, they gathered to pray and their meeting venue was invaded and many shot dead. Now they want to sit-at-home and they are being threatened to open shops as if they have no will power of theirs, warning that their sit-at-home will be resisted. Very laughable!
One begins to wonder how the Nigerian security agents intends to coerce Biafrans into going out or from staying indoors. Will they Raid their or storm every household in order to force people out at gun points? Or perhaps shoot dead anyone who refuses to go to his or her shop, farm, office, market or school?
As they plan their resistance, they should also understand how incriminating it is to attack people who are peacefully staying in their homes. We advise Nigerian security agents to steer clear IPOB heroes day as they cannot kill our people and still expect us not to mourn them.
We know that they will be roaming the streets of Biafraland like hungry hyenas looking for an excuse to kill harmless Biafrans again; but they should also remember that they still have unanswered questions posed by Amnesty International in their last report against the Nigerian army which centred on the incessant violation of human rights of the Indigenous People of Biafra. The world is very much aware of our scheduled event and has her attention fixated on Biafraland.
We are hereby urging Biafrans to discard every threat of the Nigerian forces and SIT-AT-HOME without fear. Be at alert, get your phones ready to take pictures and videos of real time situation in your location. The only way to check mate the activities of blood thirsty Nigeria armed forces is by recording every of their actions come 30th May, 2017. Anybody who violates this event by stepping out is an enemy of Biafra and would be treated as such.
