A welcome address presented by Chief mrs Felicia Okeke alias mama “B” on behalf of the chairman,Chief A.U Uduchukwu , BILIE HUMAN RIGHT INITIATIVE(BHRI) on the inauguration ceremony of Anambra state chapter of BILIE HUMAN RIGHT INITIATIVE , Nigeria. The president (BHRI) Sir Engr Amadi, The Deputy chairman of Elders council Hon Dr Chief Dozie Ikedife(ikenga Nnewi) The state chairman of Elders council chief J.U Ezeh, All the National Executive members of BHRI present.
Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen here present You are all welcome I am honoured and it is my pleasure to welcome you all to this ground breaking occasion, ground breaking in the sense that this is the first of its kind in this state, that BILIE HUMAN RIGHT INITIATIVE have stamped and seated their feet in Anambra state the light of all Nations Today we acknowledge the humble and modest service of Engr Amadi and his National spirit led Executive in the struggle of Liberating our people from slavery.
We stand firmly, unshakable, unmovable with you and your team, believing you will all lead us successfully into the promise land i wish to end this address by appreciating all you have done, all you are doing and all you will still do. May God lead and bless you all in Jesus name-Amen
ANAMBRA STATE INAUGURATION OF BILIE HUMAN RIGHT INITIATIVE
The Anuka hall Otolo Nnewi, venue of the inauguration of the Anambra state chapter of BHRI was already half filled to capacity as early as 10:30 am of the said day as Biafrans and Prominent sons and daughters of igbo extractins and environs trooped to the venue and sat in anticipation of the history making event. Among those present were traditional Igbo chiefs from far and wide, Biafran civil war veterans and youths.
The event commenced by 12 noon and there was difficulty getting sitting space for the overflow crowds who kept trooping in hundreds The highlight of the occasion was when Hon Dr Dozie Ikedife took the stage to address the crowd, his voice was choked with emotions as he recite some famous Biafra war songs, he called upon Ndigbo to rally around BHRI to led our people to the promise land of Biafra, he ( Dozie Ikedife) recounts the sad ordeal of the Igbo man in Nigeria and cited some instances of once united nations that have disintegrated.
Emphasizing the case of south and northern Sudan. Some Biafran activist and veterans busted into uncontrollable Biafra songs and there was wide dancing and jubilation in the hall. It only took great effort to bring the situation under control.
The BHRI inaugurated the state executives of Anambra state chapters and Engr Amadi led them in the oath of office. Also chairmen were inaugurated from the 21 local government council of Anambra state After short speeches by the newly inaugurated executives, refreshment was served and the Biafrans who attended relaxed and capped the occasion with delicious food and assorted variety of drinks. I helped myself to several glasses of fresh palm wines. The very type Umu igbo are known for!
