For some time now, I have studied the reactions of some of the people from the so-called Niger-Delta when the Biafran ideology is tabled. Some of these people opposed to the idea of a free state of Biafra readily express fear of marginalization.

Baseless anxieties caused by the age long divide and rule therapy administered to their respective fathers and passed down to the children needs to be cured with antidote of love as permanent vaccine. The hinterland must explain affectionately to the ignorant amongst them that they have greater dividends in a new Biafra than in the Nigerian state. No one can be marginalized in a free state of Biafra as every clan will be in perfect control of their resources.

The involvement of their leaders and elders in decision-making is a vital factor to be reasoned out with them. Sure, no one is forcing anyone into the Biafran state as it is catastrophic aligning unwilling spouses in marriage. As can be instanced in the Nigerian state, such act precipitates unending animosity. To this end, a proper dialogue and plebiscite will decide the fate of every clan of Biafran ancestry.

Of course, Biafra communities – hinterland and riverine – are one people. The game of divide and rule being played on us by the Nigerian state must be floored through evangelistic outreach to our riverine brothers. I visualize a new Biafra built on truth and honesty, mutual understanding, love and ability to pursue developmental achievements. A land where youthful talents will flourish, technology will blossom and commerce will boom as never before.

I visualize a Biafra that the world will admire, woo for business and emulate in all ramifications. A united nation of people of different tongues forging ahead in love, determination and success. The laid down foundational plans are all inclusive and known. Surely, Biafra will thrive in transparency and hard work.
