What looks like another civil war in Biafra Land looms as Armed Fulani militia/Terrorists masquerading as herdsmen invade Eha-Amufu Communities of Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State. According to an eye witness report, armed Fulani Herdsmen attacked several villages of Agu-Amede community on the wee hours of Saturday 18th of November killing no fewer than 10 people including women and children.

As the Communities were trying to phantom how that the Fulani herdsmen could invade their communities in such premeditated mayhem, the worst happened. The invading herders surfaced again on Sunday and fully declared war on about 14 villages in Eha-Amufu, killing many a d sacking these villages. This mayhem continued until Monday morning of 22 November when more villages were attacked. Villagers were seen running out of these communities in droves to unknown destinations. At this time, many villages were burnt down and several more residents killed while many were seen with machete cuts and gun short wounds. The wounded were seen being carried on motorcycles out of the communities.

So many people were killed at this time and several houses and other properties worth millions of Naira destroyed by the invading herders. It was also reported that so many people including children had been kidnapped by these terrorists masquerading as Fulani herdsmen who used the Benue State axis of the state to launch these attacks on the sleepy communities.

These men who were fully armed to the teeth in their hundreds attacked Ohualu Mgbede Village on Saturday through to Sunday morning killing about 8 people including two children.

Francis Ogbu, one of the community leaders said that the armed herdsmen returned on Tuesday morning shooting sporadically at the fleeing residents, burning houses and destroying properties. Mr Ogbu confirmed that 7 corpses were recovered. He said that the herdsmen proceeded to attack Iyi Asa community where they were shooting and burning houses and properties. According to him, the attacks were still ongoing at the time of this report. The military were seen engaging the terrorists, but it seemed as if they were not able to engage the terrorists head long.

Another eye witness who confirmed the attack on these communities is Ezedeoga who said that the Fulani herdsmen have entered Mgbuji and Eboh towns. According to Ezedeoga, many have also been killed in Mgbuji and Eboh Communities. In those communities, there was no presence of either the military or police leaving the residents at the mercy of the invading marauders.

According to Ezedeoga, 10 people were killed in Eboh community and 5 in Mgbuji community. Ezedeoga said that his own house was destroyed on Tuesday morning and that many residents are fleeing the communities in their thousands.

Cyprian Ezedeoga speaking on behalf of the affected communities, is calling on the government of Enugu State to come to their aid. He said that the Military planes that are being used in Bombing ESN camps in other Communities should be deployed to these communities being attacked by terrorists instead of using them against ESN. The government should understand that Fulani herdsmen are overrunning villages in Eha-Amufu. “Nigerian Army should deploy troops here”, he lamented.

Another community leader by name Augustine Odoh while confirming the attack said that “the Fulani Herdsmen have declared war on Eha-Amufu”. Odoh said that residents of Eha-Amufu are now fleeing to Ebonyi State. He called on Eha-Amufu people living abroad to come home to defend their father land.

While lamenting incessant attacks by Fulani herdsmen Odoh said, “our people cannot confront them with bare hands. They come in their numbers with AK-47 rifles and other dangerous weapons, shooting and destroying for hours unchallenged”. He continued saying that “the government will only deploy soldiers in communities in other South East to hound and members of pro-Biafra groups especially the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB but same soldiers cannot be deployed to our communities to stop herdsmen and Islamic terrorists’ attacks”. He concluded that “that is the hypocrisy in this government”.

This is a clear indication that the prophecy of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the alarm raised by late Dr Obadiah Mailafia started being fulfilled. This is the main reason why the Federal government of Nigeria refused to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who has since been discharged and acquitted of all charges brought against him by the Federal government of Nigeria after he was illegally renditioned back to Nigeria from Kenya in June 2021.

The want to instil fears in Biafran people and make sure that elections will not hold in Biafra Land in 2023, so as to blame IPOB. They know it that if Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is released, he will ensure that all such attacks from these herdsmen terrorists will not happen in all the communities in Biafra Land ranging from the South East, South-South, and the Middle Belt states of Benue and Kogi where Biafra Land stretched out to.

The recent terrorist alert by US, UK, Canada and France which was played down by the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed have not been pushed to Biafra Land by their sponsors. They have now turned Biafra Land into a theatre of war.

Biafra Land and the entire Indigenous People of Biafra are calling on the International Community especially the US, UK, EU and Canada to come to help stop the mayhem being perpetrated against the people and the Indigenous communities in Biafra Land.
