APCThe newly registered Hausa/Fulani Islamic political party All Progressives Congress, APC, yesterday unveiled its game plan to massively mobilise supporters at the grassroots to ensure its candidates emerge winners at all levels in 2015.

Abia State APC ‘Mobiliser,’ Chief Jonny Nwabisi, made this disclosure during the inauguration of Umuahia South Local Government Area Mobilisation Committee of the party at Agbama community less than 4 kilometers from where Gen. Ironsi was buried.

He said: “APC’s main agenda in Nigeria is to rescue Nigeria and Abia State from maladministration and change the situation to where the leaders are made accountable to the people.”

Nwabisi said the party decided to embark on grassroots’ mobilisation after scaling the hurdle of registration by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to create a level playing field for every admirer to join the party.

The former commissioner in Abia State told participants that APC membership registration would be electronic; noting that the manual registers being handed to ward ‘mobilisers’ were for temporary registration of people.

He said: “APC membership registration would be electronic-based, the registers being handed over to our local government ‘mobilisers’ are to commence registration of members temporarily before the names are transferred.”
