Cameron Tringale made one of the most incredible birdies ever seen at Riviera Country Club’s final hole during the second round of the Genesis Open.
Tringale fired a round-of-the-day 64 to move within one stroke of midway pacesetter Dustin Johnson in California, with the best of his efforts coming at the par-four 18th.
The American produced a hat-trick of birdies from the third and kicked off his back nine with successive gains before picking up another shot at the 15th.
Tringale’s blemish-free card looked under threat at the last when his approach left him more than 80 yards from the flag and with little green to work with.
With Tringale seemingly looking at saving par at best, the world No 248 rattled the flag with his third shot on its way into the cup for a slamdunk birdie.
