Jason Dufner made one of the toughest holes at the Innisbrook Resort look remarkably easy as he made a sensational eagle-two early in his first round at the Valspar Championship.

Dufner had already made an encouraging start with a birdie at the opening hole, and he made bigger strides up the leaderboard with a rare eagle-two at the third after holing out from the middle of the fairway.

The daunting 455-yard hole is ranked the second toughest on the Copperhead course, with water in play down the right side while the well-bunkered and undulating green is a difficult target.

Dufner played it safe from the tee and left himself a shade inside 190 yards for his second, but he took dead aim and sent his ball arrow-straight towards the flag, and it pitched 10 feet short of the hole before hitting the pin at pace and dropping southwards.

And the shot prompted an arguably rarer sight, with the “Duffmeister” breaking into a beaming smile as he celebrated with playing partners Charles Howell III and Scott Piercy!

Watch the video above to see Dufner’s amazing second shot find the hole, and don’t miss our live coverage of the Valspar Championship through to Sunday on Sky Sports 4 – your home of golf.
