massob-01The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra on Wednesday claimed responsibility for the recent reconciliation in the All Progressives Grand Alliance.

The Governor Peter Obi and the Chief Victor Umeh-led factions of the party reconciled last Monday in Awka, Anambra State.

In a statement on Wednesday by its National Director, Mr. Uchenna Madu, MASSOB said its leader, Chief Ralph Uwazurike, was instrumental in reconciling the warring factions in the party.

Madu, who commended Uwazurike for the gesture, said by the act, the MASSOB leader had stepped into the shoes of the late Igbo leader, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu.

He said the peace in APGA had rekindled the hope for the Igbo in the country.

The statement read, “Uwazuruike’s intervention in APGA crisis and the restoration of peace and harmony in the party do not in any way mean that he has abandoned Biafra struggle and agitation for politics.”
