South-Eastern Governors Put Aside Regional Security To Avert Ridicule

Recently, the governor of Ebonyi state, Dave Umahi, stated clearly the outcome of the meeting the Southeast governors had over insecurity in the land. In his words Southeast is better secured than any other region. He made this claim while trying to convince the people that there is no need of establishing a regional security outfit like Amotekun in Southeast.

But if really there is security in the land, why then did the Southeast governors convene a meeting over insecurity in the first place? The said governor went on to list some ghost names like Operation Kpochapu, Neighborhood Watch, Gate Keepers, Herdsmen Committee, and Forest guards, as security outfits already functioning in the land. But these names exist only in the pages of the newspapers. No one knows them, sees them, or knows the colour of their uniform.

It’s hard to believe but it remains the truth that the only person that can establish a security outfit in the whole of Biafra land is the leader of the Biafran people, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The governors have lost the authority to protect the people. They know this and wouldn’t like to disgrace themselves by trying to establish one.

In Nigeria, the governors are known as Eastern rulers but in Biafra-land we have only one leader with the mandate to lead the people. There is no governor in the Eastern region that can give order and the people obey. They really lack the mandate to call the youths to gather and form a security body.

We have a man who has lost his parents and sister for the well-being of his people; a man who has been incarcerated and now in exile for seeking freedom for his people. That man we know and will forever be indebted to. Only that man has the mandate to form a security outfit in the whole of Biafra land. His name is Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.
