Everyone has unique qualities in life. In the movement to end injustices and liberate the Biafran people entrapped in Nigeria, Nnamdi Kanu included certain qualities. Nnamdi Kanu’s qualities are: Inspirational, Bravery, Determination, Brilliant Communication Skills, et al. Nnamdi Kanu is an activist and leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), a movement where people fight for equal rights, fairness, liberty and above all, liberation using the instrumentality of self-determination as enshrined in the United Nations Charter.

Nnamdi Kanu as an inspirational being

The IPOB leader has inspired his people by helping them understand the values and significance of his visions. He urged them to put aside their individual differences and work in harmony towards achieving a common goal. For instance, it was Nnamdi Kanu who first initiated and incorporated the ideas of “IGWEBUIKE” (unity is strength) in the Biafra struggle. This inspiring ideas is what is keeping the movement he champions alive. Today, everyone is his brother’s keeper. That is why in every IPOB protest, there must be multitudes in attendance. Turning into a great leader is not about showing up with memorized speeches. It is about leaving a benchmark on the world by displaying essential leadership qualities and traits. Kanu’s qualities and life achievements have changed the heart of his followers, as well as around the globe. With his presence, vision and the ideology, Biafra is very much alive.

Bravery

Nnamdi Kanu is a brave man in the quest for freedom struggle. Kanu’s outstanding quality is bravery because he sacrificed a lot of things and could have died in prison. Bravery is a good quality to possess. Kanu in 2015 before arriving Nigeria from his base in London announced his arrival which proves that he doesn’t care if he gets arrested but the Biafra ideology brought him thus far. If Kanu doesn’t care about following the stringent bail conditions which restricts him from interacting with his own people and carrying out his duties as a leader of a liberation movement, then he is extremely brave. He portrayed courage when he refused to trade his freedom for wealth which is risking his own life and freedom because he could have gotten killed while in the hands of the DSS. Some people might say that anyone can break rules. However, Kanu bended the rules several times to ensure that the Biafra ideology is driven to the fore. All these reasons prove that Kanu is indeed a brave hero.

Determination

Nnamdi Kanu has showed determination and resilient in the struggle. He never gave up even when he was arrested and most people thought that would be the end of the struggle but he resurrected the agitation again and stood on his feet. Determined as he was, he kept the movement going even when incarcerated. Kanu didn’t capitulate for one second, he continued making things better for the movement. He also showed determination when several sinister groups abandoned IPOB to fight against him. He remained strong and steadfast till they faded and withered away. These reasons showed that he was determined to take his people to an unprecedented level of liberation.

Brilliant Communication Skills

When confronting arguments, challenges and defences in his presentations in Radio Biafra London (RBL), Kanu expected his opponents to viably communicate their responses based on the issues delivered. He was also able to communicate his ideas and visions effectively to the simple understanding of the people listening to him. Communication was crucial to his leadership success, enabling him to organize with his followers viably by disclosing to them the plan to battle for a better country.
