Ezeife

EzeifeThe former governor of Anambra State, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife has said that former President Olusegun Obasanjo has no moral right under the sun to criticize President Goodluck Jonathan . Speaking after receiving an award for Exemplary Leadership and Selfless Service by Greenfield Estate Community Development Area, Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos last Thursday, Ezeife said that Olusegun Obasanjo was guilty of every thing he accused Jonathan of in his controversial letter.
Ezife who was Special Adviser to Obasanjo while in office said that he had read the letter and wondered why the former president should write such a missive to the president, saying whoever is going to equity must go with clean hands.
He said that Obasanjo should be the last person to speak of honour  saying he lacked same, as he himself promised General Ibrahim Babangida that he would do only one term and hand over to him, but reneged on it.
He also said that because he did not support former president Obasanjo’s third term ambition, his house at Asokoro, Abuja was demolished.
His words, “There must be something that Obasanjo wants Nigerians to know or to do for him, as everybody was surprised by the letter. I have spoken with a lot of people and they were all surprised. Obasanjo wanted third term .Why is he telling somebody not to go for a second term. Obasanjo said that one thousand people have been marked for elimination and that snipers are being trained.
“Remember the high profile assassinations that happened while he was in power. He promised us electricity and the money earmarked for it went down the drain. So his talk on corruption and insecurity is neither here nor there because they did not start under Jonathan. It is a fact that nobody can defend the present administration against corruption.

“Talk of illegality, remember how the former governors of Bayelsa, Plateau and Ekiti States were removed with high handedness. It is a fact that all the charges he made against Jonathan, he is guilty of them and they said that those want to come to equity must come with clean hands. How can a teacher blame his students for applying the techniques he taught them. I don’t know of any politician who has constitutional right for another term of office and he would say no. Obasanjo promised Ibrahim “Babangida that he would go for a single term and then hand over to him.
