It is saddening to note that some misguided Biafrans have shamelessly aligned themselves with the Nigerian independence celebration exhibition of regression annually held every 1st day of October. Nigeria at 58 years, has virtually nothing beneficial to showcase before the comity of nations. As a privileged National Coordinator of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Greece, I hail from Umuegorom, Uzoakwa – Ihiala in Ihiala local government area, Nnewi province of Biafraland. I joined the Biafra restoration struggle under chief (thief) Raph Uwazurike, on the 10th of September, 1999. On my realisation of chief (thief) Raph Uwazurike’s subversive tendencies and greed, the need to call it quits with MASSOB which he led became unavoidably expedient.
On my arrival at Greece, one Nnamdi Njoku, a native of Mbaise and Nduka Chukwu from Amorka, prevailingly pleaded with me for a period of three good years to help lead the family members of IPOB, resident in Greece. Carol Munday, getting hold of my call contact, called me on the 5th of September 2013 from England stating that “she would like me to be the IPOB National Coordinator of Greece. This I frontally objected, giving instances with the ugly and disappointing experiences I had in MASSOB under Raph Uwazurike”. But Carol Munday insisted that “Nnamdi Kanu is quite a different person. He is a committed man that is given to the total restoration of the sovereign nation of Biafra”. When I bluntly resisted her opinion, she persuaded me to follow the live broadcasts of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on Radio Biafra London for just three days and evaluate him and Raph Uwazurike. When I eventually obliged and for just two days, I had no other alternative based on personal persuasion that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is an ideal personality with very rare qualities that should be followed in this restoration project. Premised on this therefore, I decided to accept the position of the IPOB National Coordinator in Greece. This brief introduction of my person is necessary to enable me drive home my point.
Of what relevance is the 1st of October celebration in Nigeria?
In the year 1960, being 58 good years ago, Nigeria was said to have got her independence from her colonial master, Britain. Till this year 2018, there is absolutely nothing tangibly good and beneficial that Nigeria can pointedly boost of that has been bequeathed to the citizens to better their lives. The “One-Nigeria” mantra is not just an absurdity but a hallucination. Nigeria is a scam!
As a Biafran, I can recall that between 30th May 1967 and 15th January 1970, there existed three unbroken years of genocidal war carried against Biafrans by the Nigerian government. Biafrans’ ingenuity played out in the defense of their land and people and to the surprise of the world, powerfully made technological breakthroughs as Biafran engineers built armored tanks amongst other military ammunitions with far reaching destructive capacities like the Ogbunigwe, anti-aircraft weapons, rocket launchers, etcetera. The dexterity of Biafran engineers and other classical professionals of the 21st century, can very brilliantly and comfortably build standard road networks, provide uninterrupted electricity power supply, affordable healthcare, good/healthy drinking water, viable education system, environmental safety and security amongst other relevant social amenities/infrastructural developments across the entire Biafran territories.
Mazi Ezekiel Izuogu first built an indigenous automobile Z600 model car, yet the government frustrated his efforts. Presently, Innoson Motors has proficiently and successfully built series of posh cars, buses and jeeps of varying models, even in the face of hostilities by the same Nigerian government. The chief executive of this thriving indigenous car manufacturer had been threatened severally to relocate from Biafraland to either Lagos or the north which has been vehemently resisted. The enemies in their evil plots further employed the services of Guaranty Trust Bank which is the company’s banker, to confiscate all deposits but for the dogged intervention of the family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) globally, the government’s oppressive action would have succeeded. The question now is has the owner of Innoson Motors recognized Biafra as his fatherland or is he yet hobnobbing with the Hausa-Fulani slavemasters? The instances out of many others from the Biafran stock, are evidentially credible and encouraging.
Biafrans indeed have many things to their credit before, during and after the genocidal war waged against them. Biafran children are exceptionally making waves in their diverse areas of giftings. Their prowess in the area of technology is incredible. Their unmatchable talents even in the academics are rattling the entire global community. In every segment of life endeavors both in Biafraland and elsewhere, they are excelling.
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide, is irrefutably worth emulating in every standard. She has become the only hope and succour of the oppressed not only in Biafraland, but across Nigeria. She has uncompromisingly withstood the heinous intrigues and evil machinations of the Mohammedan Emirate of Northern Nigeria whose trade revolves around nepotism, marginalization, oppression, emasculation, deprivation, enslavement, terrorism and death. Biafrans who are the beloved of Chukwuokike Abiama (God Almighty) have over the years, been treated as slaves and nonentities that must not be respected/regarded.
The membership and leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) globally, led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, need to be appreciated and unreservedly supported for their resilience, resoluteness and courageousness even in the face of state-sponsored provocations. The Nigerian security forces had on the 14th of September 2017, abducted Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his aged parents from their residence at Afara-ukwu Ibeku in Umuahia, Biafraland following a murderous invasion carried out under the guise of military exercise code-named “Operation Python Dance II”, wherein quite a number of Biafrans were killed and maimed. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his parents’ whereabouts till date have remained mysterious. The Nigerian army who raided their residence will definitely explain where they kept them when the time comes. Chukwuokike Abiama will most assuredly protect them until they get back to us.
Our Deputy Leader, Mazi Uchenna Okafor Mefor who has remained resilient, courageous, humble and obediently cooperative in meticulously handling all IPOB concerns, the Radio Biafra London crew, the Head of Directorate of State, Mazi Chika Edoziem, Mazi Austine Agbanyim, the European Representative, Various Continental Leaders and Principal Officers, Zonal/Unit Leaders, the Media Crew and other hardcore Biafrans who are assiduously working for the unfettered restoration of our fatherland Biafra, can really not be appreciated enough. We will never mutate until the sovereignty of our nation is fully restored.
