South-East GOVERNORS meet in Enugu

GOVERNORS of South-East geopolitical zone, on Sunday, met in Enugu,

with a call on the Federal Government to establish a cargo section at the Akanu Ibiam Airport, Enugu, with a view to enhancing business activities in the zone.

Addressing newsmen shortly after their meeting at Government House, Enugu, the chairman of the forum, Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State, also commended the Federal Government for controlling the spread of Ebola scourge in the country.

Orji, who told reporters that they would summon a meeting of elders’ forum of the zone soonest, said they were happy the way the former Minister for Information, Professor Dora Akunyili, was buried.

The governors, therefore, prayed for the family of the late National Agency for Foods, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) boss.

Governors of Abia, Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi states were in attendance, while the Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, was absent.
