Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Igbo Ga-Adi Nma, and its leadership have refuted allegation

leveled against them by Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, saying it cannot associate with ‘criminals’.

In a press statement signed by the coordinator of the group in Ogbaru local council of Anambra State, Comrade Goodluck Oguejiofor, he denied the MASSOB allegation that the body was a false organisation, noting rather that the Igbo Ga-Adi Nma is a well-oriented Igbo organisation established to project, promote and enhance the dignity, integrity, as well as political values of Ndigbo.

According to the statement, the Igbo Ga- Adi Nma cannot be involved in any act of violence or social vice as alleged by MASSOB. It, however, told MASSOB to first of all look to itself and seek to remove stains to its image following alleged cloth deceits before the group can be appreciated in Igboland.

The statement added that the attack and blackmail of MASSOB on its group, is an act of cowardice and frustration.

The statement also commended some Igbo prominent sons and daughters for their peculiar achievements and contributions to Igboland. According to the statement:

“We respect and honour the leadership qualities and services of some prominent Igbo leaders such as Chief Victor Umeh, APGA National Chairman, Sir Emeka Offor, Senator Uche Chukwumerije, among others. They reinstated their support for President Goodluck Jonathan’s continuity and other Progressive Igbo leaders.”
