Hull FC have offered a lifeline to Kevin Larroyer in his bid to find a new club following his release from rivals Hull KR.
The France international was let go by Rovers following their relegation to the Championship last season.
However, Hull FC have stepped in to help Larroyer in his search for a new club by allowing him to train with them, and the 28-year-old may even play in pre-season friendlies against Doncaster and York over the next two weeks.
“From a player welfare point of view, the effect of relegation so late into the year and with a lot of recruitment complete for clubs, it’s hard for players to secure new deals and we’re pleased we can offer Kevin an opportunity in pre-season,” said Hull football manager Motu Tony.
“Whilst we won’t be signing him, it is a great opportunity for him to be around a professional first-team set-up, maintaining his fitness levels, and I’m sure it will mean he is a good addition to a squad when he does find a new club.”
