Barely five months after joining Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha, to the All Progressives Congress, APC, a frontline senatorial aspirant for Orlu Zone and renowned philanthropist, Chief Chidi Felix Idiga, popularly known as Jafac has jettisoned his political romance with the governor and his party only to join the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Chief Idiga, who also runs an NGO, JAFAAC Foundation, told newsmen at his Ofeahia-Amaifeke country home yesterday, that he decided to move on with his political dream and has chosen to vie with the PDP.
Adorning a customized long sleeve shirt with inscription of PDP and the party’s logo, he stated that his decision is to serve his people of Orlu Zone who have been urging him to fulfill the promise to give them effective representation at Abuja.
Promising not to disappoint the people, Chief Idiga, who was flanked by the PDP Amaifeke Ward secretary, Chief Smart Uzoagbadike thanked the party executive in Orlu for accepting him and their support.
Speaking in a chat, the director-general of JAFAC Organization, Chief Okey Dike, described Chief Idiga as a viable aspirant who is most qualified to win the PDP primaries for the Orlu Zone Senate ticket, come 2015.
The former state secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), applauded the confidence, and political sagacity of JAFAAC, which has given him wider acceptability in the zone.
Chief Dike believes strongly that Chief Idiga as a philanthropist and business mogul, has all it takes to clinch the senatorial position, come 2015.
Other top notch of PDP in Imo State who attended include, Dr. Vin Udokwu (Anaefobi), ex-state secretary PDP, Chief Damian Ezeagu, Hon. Ohajimadu Izuchukwu, Hon. Ben Mgbeojirikwe and others who graced the declaration event.
