Serious Meeting is going on between the Executive Governor of Anambra state, Willie Obiano and the Onitsha traditional ruler, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, concerning the need to re-arrest Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Sources close to the traditional ruler have revealed that there have been chains of secret meetings going on between the traditional ruler and the governor.

According to the source who pleaded anonymity, the duo have been uncontrollably exasperated with the freedom the IPOB leader was granted. To them, it is a threat to their political ambitions and as such, they have been begging Hausa-Fulani led government of Nigeria to re-arrest him as a matter of exigency.

One of the sources also said that they (Obiano and Achebe) have even requested for more military presence in the whole Eastern States but especially in Anambra state.

“Series of secret meetings by Obiano and Obi of Onicha Achebe praying Hausa-Fulani to re-ARREST Mazi Nnamdi Kanu are going on.

“This is because of the No-ELECTION campaigns by IPOB in Anambra state and Biafraland in general which are a threat to their evil political ambitions.

“They also secretly requested the Nigerian government to send more Hausa-Fulani military to Biafraland,” the source said.

Meanwhile, recall that Igwe Achebe has condemned the order of “No Election in Anambra state” issued by Nnamdi Kanu.

He posited that Nnamdi Kanu does not have the right to stop the election in one section of the country, arguing that referendum is only possible when the federal government supports and sponsors it.

He said so when the State leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo led by Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene visited him in his palace.

In his words, “The election is for us not for the entire country. You cannot have a referendum in one part of the country without carrying other parts of the country along and the government must support and sponsor it before it will be organized and not curving out some part of the country for the referendum. The election must hold and nobody or group of persons will stop it. Nobody should come to the state to cause unnecessary tension”.
