Carol Munday SurreyMy Candid opinion about the Struggle for Biafra to all those living outside Biafraland…by CarolMunday listener from London

Radio Biafra is a liberation radio station, it’s for freedom fighting. The members of Radio Biafra and Billie Human Rights are human beings who believe in the freedom of the Biafran people.  If the people could be united, who could stand in their way? Nigeria would no longer exist, how wonderful this dream seems almost sounds like we are asking for the kingdom of heaven to come.

The question remains, are Biafrans capable of being united? I am restraining myself from laughing, it is indeed laughable going by all available evidence but then again in every liberation struggle there are bound to splinter groups in so far as they are fighting for the same common goal.

The available evidence to most independent observers like myself is that unity or sense of urgency is the missing ingredient in this undertaking and the inadequate resourcing of Radio Biafra is making the burden too difficult to bear. Radio Biafra cannot run on goodwill alone. Some of its members have given up their day jobs and put every penny into fighting for their people, told their children “sorry my child not now I have to fight for our people” yet the message appear not to be getting through that support is needed to maintain the momentum so far gained. Knowledge is the most powerful weapon available right now and the world needs to know how wonderful the land of Biafra is, not just Biafrans alone. Ask a foreigner about Biafra they would probably have never even heard of it! This is where the work Radio Biafra is doing is very important. This is what Biafrans in diaspora needs to grasp if they are serious.

I listen and read all the debates on this website, facebook and other platforms everyday and I see most senseless arguments that I become upset at such time wasting when people are suffering in Biafra. Daily all I read about is one unenlightening debate after another debate. Debate, debate, debate….all they do is debate, in fact I will write any comment and people will debate for days!!    Talk! Talk!! Talk!!! Action is louder than words, why do you sit back in London, Paris, Johannesburg New York, Brisbane, Toronto, Berlin, Coppenhagen, Madrid, Sao Palo, Tokyo etc all the places not suffering and still call yourselves Biafrans? How do you go to church and give funds to church, give your tithes to pastors when the real work of God is helping your people. Tithes was not for churches but to help those in need. I tell you now Radio Biafra and any other organization trying to fight for the freedom of Biafra will fail unless you all start helping from today. People in Biafra are in need of help because they are unable to support good causes like Radio Biafra. Not many of you know that an app with live stream for mobile phones including TV will cost Radio Biafra in the region of $50,000(usd) to develop and maintain. Do you think it’s the duty of somebody else to do this for Biafrans when there are Biafrans who are comfortable in all parts of the world? It is your radio station through which your people can be united and project your voice to the rest of the world. If you don’t have this important platform to reach the world, your voice will not be heard and nobody will take you serious.

If you can call yourself a Biafran then take a long hard look at yourself and decide how you can help Biafra stand. Maybe having that brand new flat screen TV, or even that new car or maybe just that bottle of bubble bath can wait. You live in luxury outside Nigeria compared to your people. I’d suggest today you stop all the talk and put your money where your mouth is. Start a standing order today for a regular contribution of your monthly budget to help the freedom fighters who are trying to save Biafrans. No one will knock on your door one day and say here take Biafra for free or that Jesus has done the work for you here come take your new pain free Biafra. Life doesn’t work that way. It’s up to you to use this opportunity to get Biafra if at all you are serious about freedom.

Either do something now other than debating endlessly and talking or forget your roots and take on the nationality of where you are living or whatever your new identity is and forget your families back home. Tell them you don’t care, and give up going to church because that is pure hypocrisy. You can’t love God when you don’t love your own people.

I know you will say who is this crazy person, how dare she write this and obviously some will reply with yet more debate (again) and still do nothing to help your people and your cause. Me I’m a white woman, in fact I would even go as far to say I am British but I can see the potential in a free Biafra and am calling out for you to acknowledge yourselves. And I will pick up my child as his father is gone and teach him his history in that he came from Africa the birthplace of all people and that his family was slaves taken from West Africa. We still give up our luxuries in my house as I was taught in as a Christian to help those that are in need and always to put others before ourselves, so that we too can one day in this life or next enjoy the kingdom of heaven.
