Drug Abuse Among Females In Sultan’s Sokoto Worries NDLEA

The Sokoto State Command of the National Drugs Law  Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has lamented the rising cases of drug abuse  by young girls in the state and advised parents to inculcate sound  morals in their children and wards.
 The command who insisted that routine guidance and monitoring of  their children and wards will serve as sure panacea to some of the  societal ills being orchestrated by peer groups, also warned those  engaging in the menace to be weary of the repercussion.
 Speaking at a one-day sensitization workshop for girl child in Sokoto  yesterday, Sokoto State Commander of the agency, Alhaji Misbahu Idris,  stressed that drug abuse is inimical to prosperous society.
 The workshop was organised by the State council of Women in Da’awah  Organisation, in conjunction with the State Health Sub-sector Committee  of the Zakkat and Endowment Committee was aimed at enlightening the  females on the dangers of drug abuse among other vices.
 Represented by the public relations officer of the agency in Sokoto,  Galadima Shehu, the commander lamented the alarming spate of drug abuse  especially within the female folk in Sokoto.
