Ohanaeze4Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council (OYC), has said it may not support President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.The group stated this while accusing the president of neglecting youth from the South-East region. The youth group also dissociated themselves from the meeting between President Jonathan and the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo tomorrow.Former Secretary General of OYC, Comrade Chuks Ibegbu,
who also dissociated the group from tomorrow’s meeting between Jonathan and the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, lamented the special treatment for South-South youth and the negligence of the South-East youth.According to him, thousands of Niger Delta youth have been sent abroad for vocational training by the Federal Government, while one Igbo youth has never benefited from such a scheme.Faulting the composition of the Ohaneze delegation for the Abuja meeting, which he said does not include the youth and women, ibegbu warned that whatever decision taken at the meeting would not concern the youth.“It is still the same old people who are going to meet the president on behalf of Ndigbo. We advise Ohanaeze to borrow a leaf from other parts of the country,” he said.“The people in the Niger Delta cannot take any decision without Asari Dokubo. The people in the North and West carry the youth along. Why can’t Ndigbo do the same?”Those listed to be part of Ohanaeze delegation to meet with the president include Ohanaeze President-General, Gary Igariwey and Secretary General, Joe Nwaorgu, Chief Mbazulike Amechi, Prof. Anya O. Anya, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Justice Eze Ozobu, Joe Irukwu and a representative from the South-East Council of Traditional Rulers.being used for different kinds of rituals.
