Boko Haram terrorists threatens to invade schools in Makurdi

Security has been beefed up at Government College as well as Mount Saint Gabriel, Makurdi, following the alleged receipt of a letter purportedly written by the dreaded Boko Haram sect of an impending invasion of the colleges to abduct the students.According to the Principal of Government College, Mr. Ugudu Geoffrey, the letter which was dated May 14, 2014 purportedly written by Boko Haram threatened to invade the school on Monday, May 19 with the intention to abduct some boys whom they would marry off to the girls who were abducted from Government Girls College, Chibok, Borno State.

President Jonathan’s tenure extension memo floods National Conference

Plan to use the ongoing National Conference to extend the tenure of President Goodluck Jonathan and other political office holders has been exposed.A document prepared by one of the delegates from the South-South has been distributed to some delegates on the need to postpone the 2015 general elections by 18 months.The document, which was prepared by Okon Osung, was distributed to the delegates last week.Osung, who spoke with journalists in Abuja on Friday evening, confirmed the distribution of the documents.
