Ex-militant leaders appeal to FG on Okah brothers

The Leadership, Peace and Cultural Development Initiative, LPCDI, a forum of leaders of former agitators in the Niger Delta, has made a passionate appeal to the Federal Government to consider a review of the ongoing trial of Charles Okah and the conviction of Edmund Ebiware, who was sentenced to life imprisonment, over the October 1, 2010 bombing incident in Abuja.The group, in a press release signed by its president, ‘Pastor’ Reuben Wilson, also urged the government to explore a political solution towards reviewing the conviction of Okah by the South African authorities, over the same incident in Abuja.

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has berated the South-East governors for coming to the national conference without a definite Igbo position.The Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and delegate to the national conference, Dr Joe Nworgu who criticized the governors before journalists in Enugu at the weekend lamented that the governors did not set a common position for the South-East.“One would have challenged the governors to tell us what their position on these issues is.
