On the cool and peaceful morning of Thursday, September 14, 2017, a combined team of the Nigerian Police Force, Department of State Services [DSS], coupled with the Nigerian Army invaded the home of the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

At first, they were patrolling the State Capital of Abia State – Umuahia as if they were carrying out surveillance; next, what drafted them to come close and blockaded the access road leading to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s home is what we don’t know.

The unwarranted blockade and sudden invasion of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s home was conducted in a bid to take down the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra down whom the Federal government of Nigeria felt was a pain in their neck.

The government of Nigeria in connivance with the state governors of the South Eastern States had a secret meeting where they all agreed to eliminate the IPOB leader for refusing to take bribe offered to him and give off the Biafra agitation quest, the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo – Nnia Nwodo and some Igbo politicians like former Senator Ike Ekweremadu planned to take him down.

Late Mallam Abba Kyari had series of secret indoor meetings pretended it was Muhammadu Buhari (Jubril Al-Sudani), with all the Nigerian Force service Chiefs where he debriefed Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Ike Ekweremadu on their plans to eliminate Mazi Kanu for leaking the secret of the dead Muhammadu Buhari to gullible Nigerians, to them Mazi Nnamdi Kanu being alive pose as a threat and danger to their selfish and personal interests of using an Impostor to rule over the Nigerian masses.

The cowardly invasion led to the untimely death of twenty-eight (28) gallant men and women who sworn to defend the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra when it dawned on Kanu’s followers that the combined team of the Nigerian Police, Department of State Services and the Nigerian Military were all out for killing their leader when they started shooting sporadically at every living standing within Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s suburb.

These twenty-eight men and women stood fearlessly before the invading Nigerian forces, held them back with their lives from eliminating the IPOB leader as planned. They paid the ultimate price of sacrificing their lives, they saw to the escape of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra – Mazi Nnamdi Kanu escaped from being terminated by the Nigerian Federal government forces as they were instructed to kill him and whoever that stand in their way of having Mazi Nnamdi Kanu killed.

These gallant men gave their lives to safeguard the carrier of the Biafra dream. They gave their lives to safeguard the messenger of freedom. They gave their lives for the sake of Biafra motherland. For their sacrifice, we shall never forget them come what may. Indeed, their sacrifice and the ultimate price they paid shall never be in vain neither will it be forgotten. For the sake of their death we march on, for the sake of their death we soldier on, for the sake of their deaths we shall fight to finish. Rest on great comrades, you died defending the Biafra course and we shall never relent, retreat nor surrender until Biafra is restored. Come 30th of May 2020, we will remember the gallant IPOB twenty-eight (28), Faithfuls that paid the ultimate sacrifice for Biafra.
