For some Nigerian fans who trooped out to watch this night’s European Champions League final between Real Madrid and Athletico Madrid, it was a deadly experience as they ended up being bombed.
The sad experience took place in Jos, capital of Plateau State in Nigeria’s North-Central. A report by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said the terrorists successfully detonated a bomb at a match viewing centre located
along Bauchi Road near the University of Jos, Jos North Local Government Area. At least three people were immediately confirmed dead and three injured in the explosion, which occurred at about 9:30 pm (2030 GMT).
Police spokesperson Felicia Anselm confirmed the incident.
News Express reports that the attack took place just four days after triple bomb blasts killed over 120 persons and injured over a hundred in the Plateau State capital.
